Work Term: Permanent Work Language: French Hours: 40 hours per week Education: Other trades certificate or diploma Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years Work setting Various locations Relocation costs not covered by employer Commercial Institutional Residential Tasks Select, measure, cut, ream and thread pipe Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment Install clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping system and sprinkler and fire protection equipment, using hand and power tools Installs valves, alarms and associated equipment Join pipes and piping sections using soldering and welding equipment Test system for leaks using air or liquid pressure equipment Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system Test system for leaks using testing equipment Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Occupational Health and Safety Certificate Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate Transportation/travel information Valid driver's licence Work conditions and physical capabilities Handling heavy loads Physically demanding Bending, crouching, kneeling Hand-eye co-ordination Own tools/equipment Tools Safety equipment/gear Steel-toed safety boots Hard hat Personal suitability Accurate Client focus Efficient interpersonal skills Excellent oral communication Judgement Team player Reliability Screening questions Are you authorized to work in Canada?
